College Millennials: Category & Brand Social Media Engagement–2016

DigitialMediaIX is one of the very few sources of social media behavior and brand-level social engagement on the College Millennial market.  We have been conducting bi-annual surveys of this key demographic, across 50 American universities since 2012, with 1500–2000 participants per study.

We are starting a new service for digital agencies, which need to fill potential holes in their understanding of College Millennial social media behavior and engagement with leading brands. 

A base report and add-on category-specific modules are offered.

Base Report is priced at $1200 and will analyze…

  • Social media usage and engagement including:
    • Social media sites/apps used (Facebook, Instagram, SnapChat, YouTube, Pinterest, and more)
      • Engagement on each social media site/app used (hours/week)
      • # of Facebook friends
      • # of Twitter followers
      • Social media usage trends (increase, decrease, or maintained from  a year ago)
      • Product category (9) engagement with digital media in the past year.
        • Looked at the brand’s web site
        • Became a fan of the brand on Facebook
        • Follow the brand on Twitter
        • Downloaded a mobile app sponsored by the brand
        • Viewed a video sponsored by the brand
    • TV consumption
      • Traditional
      • Online
    • Online Device Usage                       
    • Smart phone Usage behavior
      • Shopped for Clothing
      • Shopped for Electronics
      • Bought Music
      • Purchased Mobile Apps
      • Purchased Event tickets
      • Purchased Travel tickets
      • Ordered Food
      • Conducted Online Banking

Product Category Module Reports (1 for each of 11 categories) are provided at $600 each and will include:

  • Brand(s) owned or used, including brand penetration/occupancy and trends)
  • Brand preference
  • Social  media engagement on preferred brands in the past year, including:
    • Looked at the brand’s web site
    • Became a fan of the brand on Facebook
    • Follow the brand on Twitter
    • Downloaded a mobile app sponsored by the brand
    • Viewed a video sponsored by the brand

This modular approach will enable you to invest in data only for those categories where you have active or target clients.  One of the following product category modules is included in the base report fee.

Analysis is broken out by gender and ethnicity for all reports, with a social media placement plan summary offered.

A comprehensive report, with all product categories included, is priced at $5,995.
